He was more than a great surfer, but a devoted family man and community leader. The surf world, and those that call Paumalu home, have truly lost an icon. You were blessed and privileged to know Mr. Cole, and now you are tasked of carrying the torch with the place you both call home, Paumalu. Very well written, an extremely interesting read with insights of who Peter Cole was, his life activities, and philosophical perspective. I knew of him and heard of him but now I am really aware of him as the the Patriarch of Paumalu. He brought a blessing in many ways to those he interacted with, a gift to us from the universe.
